If you are a councillor, council officer or you are involved in flood risk management for your local authority, local community or organisation you may want to attend the next meeting of the Local Government Flood Forum (LGFF) on Wednesday, 31 October in London.

The LGFF is the UK’s independent local government voice on flooding matters. We work to give our members up-to-date information and intelligence from policymakers.

The LGFF organises events addressed by leading figures from local government, central government, academia, key national organisations and the private sector.

On the agenda:

The focus of the next LGFF will be to look at the water industry and implications for local government.  We will hear from:

  • NEW UPDATE: Tom Bradbury, NIC presents National Infrastructure Assessment Flood Recommendations
  • Trevor Bishop from OFWAT on Water2020
  • David Knaggs, Albion Water, will be looking at Integrated Water Management using non-potable recycling
  • Steve Moncaster, Chair of Water Resources East will discuss the collaborative approach to water resource planning
  • Daniel Johns, Anglian Water, will be looking at the Anglian Water’s Flood risk plans for 2020-25
