Each year Ofsted produces an annual report on the findings of its inspections from early years, schools, further education and skills providers as well as local authority children’s social care functions and children’s care services in the voluntary sector. This briefing is on the year to September 2017. The reports identifies the “the remaining barriers that stand in our way” to improvement, and sets out how Ofsted can help. The 130 schools with long-term poor performance are highlighted.
