The meaning of a no-deal Brexit

This briefing contains findings from an LGiU survey of UK council chief executives, exploring local government’s Brexit preparations and will be of interest to chief executives who want to learn about what their peers are working on in terms of Brexit planning, as well as Brexit lead officers and anyone interested in Brexit planning. We found that Brexit is a top priority for over half of chiefs and most are dealing with preparations every day. There is concern about the prospect of a no-deal scenario on councils’ ability to deliver their services, having received less than adequate communication from central government, and concern about the effects of Brexit have grown over the past year.
