The Children and Social Work Act 2017 requires new arrangements for the local safeguarding of children. This DfE consultation asks questions about implementing the new arrangements for reviews of serious safeguarding cases, transition from the Local Safeguarding Children Boards, and managing child death reviews. Significant revisions of the statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children are proposed. Consultation closes on 31 December 2017
