Last Sunday six LGiU staff ran the Royal Parks half-marathon.
We came 50th in the corporate team standings with a total time of 11hrs 21mins – easily smashing our target of 12 hours.
We put ourselves through this ordeal to help raise some funds for local charity Coram’s Fields.
Coram’s Fields in a wonderful playground and charity in the very urban area of Bloomsbury – a 5-minute walk from the LGiU office. It is situated on the former site of the Foundling Hospital, established by Thomas Coram in 1739.
Coram’s Fields main aim is to:
to improve the quality of life of children and young people through the provision of a safe and stimulating environment for their recreation and education needs.
