C’llr Achievement Awards: Judges’ Special Award for Contribution to Local Government

The Judges’ Special Award will be given to a councillor who has shown a demonstrable contribution to local government over a number of years. This councillor will have been an elected member for a significant period of time and in this time will have contributed considerably to the development of the council and their local community.

The councillor who wins this category will demonstrate:

  • longevity of service
  • that they have held positions of leadership or extra responsibility on the council during their time as a councillor
  • a significant number of achievements over a period of years – both within the council and community
  • how they have contributed to improved outcomes for their local communities.
