- C’llr Achievement Awards 2014
Innovation. Influence. Information.
The 2014 Annual LGiU and CCLA C’llr Achievement Awards are now open for nominations. Find out how to enter here.
Councillors play a significant role in their communities – they are local leaders who connect people, facilitate opportunities for involvement and make things happen in their patch. We think councillors can play a vital role in making communities thrive, but their volunteer role is often undervalued and not always appreciated.
The LGiU and CCLA C’llr Achievement Awards aim to recognise and reward those councillors who go over and above what is expected of them; councillors who show absolute dedication to their communities and make positive change happen to the lives of people in them.
This year, there are 11 categories, which include; Community Champion, Leader of the Year, the all-new Digital Innovator Award and Young C’llr of the Year. Of particular interest will be the Bruce-Lockhart Member Scholarship, which comes with a £10,000 bursary and is supported by Kent, Essex and East Sussex Councils.
So if you know an inspirational councillor, please make sure you show your appreciation and nominate them! Anyone can submit a nomination, including members of the public.
The deadline is 31st December 2013.
