New cross-departmental strategy setting out how various commitments to delivering transactional services as ‘digital by default’ will be implemented. Information publishing has already been revised with the launch of GOV.UK, intended to be the simpler, faster replacement for Directgov and Businesslink. It does not specifically apply to local government, but many of the principles of digital by default will have relevance, and resources such as standards, competencies and performance measures may be useful.
