Take part in our survey on tenant engagement and welfare reform

130502 Image2 for blog.jpgThe 1st April 2013 marked the beginning of a major shift in the provision of welfare. The introduction of localised council tax benefit, the phasing in of the overall benefit cap, changes to Disability Living Allowance and the Social Fund, and the start of the Universal Credit pathfinders will all affect a large number of people in years to come, and are likely to have a particular impact on many social housing tenants.

With this in mind, the LGiU supported by Mears Group, is undertaking a piece of research into tenant engagement strategies; how organisations are working with their residents, what methods they have employed and what resources they have allocated to this task.

We are interested in hearing from you if you are a retained stock authority, and ALMO, a housing association or any other form of housing management organisation. To take part in our survey, please follow this link:

The survey has 15 questions, and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. All responses are much appreciated, and will be anonymised before being published, or shared outside the LGiU.

The deadline for responses is Tuesday 14th May. If you have any questions about the research, please contact Lauren Lucas at lauren.lucas@lgiu.org.uk.
